I was out teaching a few weeks ago and was given "a gentle reminder" that it had been quite a while since I updated my blog. After returning from the Brisbane Scrapbook and Papercraft Expo in June, I decided to take the rest of summer off from papercrafting and teaching classes to rest, relax and go on vacation. I didn't mean to be away so long but sometimes in life a break from the everyday routine is a perfect way to rejuvenate and to get the creative juices flowing again!
As the weather begins to change here in New England our thoughts are turning to Fall Foliage and the beginning of the Holiday Season with Halloween just a few short weeks away. I am just putting the finishing touches on a fun new Halloween Kit "All Hallow's Eve Wall Art" and I have to say even though I am not a huge Halloween fan (afterall we really don't celebrate this holiday in Australia), I absolutely love the way this project is looking and will definitely be hanging in on my wall for October.
This project has been designed to fit into a square frame and will fit into a 12 x 12 frame. Because I like to turn my wall art pieces into more of a statement, I purchased a square frame approx 17" x 17" and cut a piece of foam core to fit it as my base and then covered the foam core with fabric. This kit includes all the pieces to recreate this project and also an 18" x 18" piece of the coordinating background fabric.
This kit is available in my Emporium now for pre-order (they will be shipping next week and are only available in a very limited quantity). Next up I have been working on a piece of Winter Wall Art which I will be teaching at Absolutely Everything, MA on November 10. This new class is a project to add some sparkle to your home in the cold dreary winter months. The theme of the project is Winter and not Christmas, allowing it to be hung in your home after the holidays. Here is a little sneek peak of the project -
The project will be on display in the store next week. This will be my last class for a while in the Boston area and I look forward to seeing some of you there.
Thanks for stopping by, I will be back (sooner rather than later), thanks for being patient and have a great weekend.
